2016 got off to quite a start for Prince George, the older child of Prince William and Kate Middleton. George started nursery school last month! William and Kate released a couple of pictures to mark the occasion; now we’re getting an update on how the future King of England is adjusting.

It has been a very happy time for them as a family. Prince George is settling in the nursery school very well. And the family is very grateful for the widespread goodwill they have received from around the world.”
It’s still quite something that George is even attending nursery school: he’s only the second future King of England to do so. William was the first: it was something his mother, Princess Diana, wanted for him. Prince Charles was tutored privately at Buckingham Palace before going off to boarding school, so it’s quite a change!

After a very busy fall, the Cambridges have been focused on family (for Kate) and work as a rescue helicopter pilot (for William) in the new year. However, the Duchess is expected to get more active next week to support Children’s Mental Health week, and William is expected to do more public events in the spring as Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday approaches. It will be on April 21. Kate and William will are also planning another tour abroad to India and Bhutan. I hope they take a picture in front of the Taj Mahal!

It’s said that Prince George and Princess Charlotte will stay home for this trip (George went with his parents to Australia), so I’m guessing this trip will be on the short side. I think they spent about three weeks Down Under, so I can see why they took George with them for that trip. We’ll see…
