Queen Elizabeth is about to mark another major milestone: she’ll turn 90 on April 21. The royal family, including Kate Middleton, participated in a new documentary that’s being filmed to mark the occasion. The Duchess of Cambridge discussed Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s relationship with their great-grandmother, the Queen.
Kate revealed that the Queen was excited to have another great-granddaughter.
It’s very special having a new little girl … I feel very, very lucky that George has got a little sister. The Queen was really thrilled that it was a little girl, and I think as soon as we came back here to Kensington she was one of our first visitors here.”
I do remember seeing pictures of Queen Elizabeth’s car entering the gates at Kensington Palace to meet her newest great-grandchild.

Kate also shared George’s nickname for his great-grandmother.
George is only 2 ½ and he calls her ‘Gan-Gan.’ She always leaves a little gift or something in their room when we go and stay, and that just shows her love for her family.”
Awww… how cute is that? Here’s some footage from the documentary:
